All under 6's are free and all our doctors are trained in the medial care of infants, children and adolescents.

All our doctors hold family planning certificates and have a wide range of experience in contraceptive products including the oral contraceptive pill, Mirena coil insertion and removal, Implanon insertion and removal, Evra patch and vaginal rings
cervical smears

All our doctors are registered smear takers for the Cervical Check cancer screening programme which tests for pre-cancerous cells in the cervix. You can check if you are eligible for a free smear at www.cervicalcheck.ie

Vaccination against the virus that causes cervical cancer is also available at Ballinteer Health.
A female GP is always available upon request.
antenatal care
We offer you GP care before, during and after your pregnancy.

We are affiliated to the state 'Mother and Baby Scheme' that entitles women to a specific number of free antenatal care visits, and a 2 week and 6 week check for you and your baby.

24 hour blood pressure monitoring
24 hour blood pressure monitoring means you must wear a blood pressure monitoring device on your arm for 24 hours. The machine automatically records your blood pressure as you go about your day and gives an accurate record of your blood pressure and allows us to treat your Hypertension more effectively.
well woman & well man check
Well man checks include cardiovascular screening, prostate cancer screening, colon cancer, haemochromatosis and mental health.

Our well woman’s check includes breast check, cardiovascular screening, bone density, cervical cancer screening and psychological health.
sports injuries & joint injections
Assessment and treatment of joint and sport injuries including dressings, pain management, joint injections and advice on physiotherapy.

dermatology & cryotherapy
Treatment of a variety of skin lesions including warts, skin tags, verrucae and solar keratosis.
At Ballinteer Health patients can be assessed, advised and treated for any skin complaint.

Treatments provided include Cryotherapy which is the application of extreme cold to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue.
travel vaccines
We offer a full pre-travel consultation as well as all necessary vaccinations and general advice.
